In this chapter of the SMA Journal we look back at just one very significant event in the history of the SMA Irish Province. This month, 100 years ago, Dromantine opened as the SMA Seminary in Ireland. For the next 47 years hundreds of students began their Missionary journey there, a journey that led them to Africa and many parts of the world.
As the Dromantine centenary celebrations take place this weekend, we bring you this special edition in which Fr Peter McCawille SMA recalls milestones throughout 100 years of the SMA’s presence in Dromantine, County Down.
