SMA missionary interviewed by ‘Voice of America’ re Kenyan elections

On July 13, 2017, Voice of America (VoA) English Service to Africa,  which reaches more than 50 million listeners across Africa, broadcast an interview with Fr Padraig Devine SMA. You can listen to the interview by clicking the link below. It is a half hour programme of news from Africa and you can listen to Fr Padraig’s interview by forwarding to the 16 minutes and 50 seconds mark.

Two other pieces based on the interview with the SMA Director of the Shalom Center for Conflict Resolution and Reconciliation (SCCRR) were broadcast on the German radio station Deutsche Welle July 14th, and on the Voice of America (USA) during the week beginning July 17th.

The Shalom Center is increasingly viewed as a highly reliable agency for peace and reconciliation throughout Africa and its work is now being reported even in China. With the upcoming Kenyan elections, the SCCRR is fast becoming a respected commentator.

This is a project the SMA can be richly proud of and we send our very best wishes and thanks to Frs Ollie Noonan, SMA and Padraig Devine SMA, as well as their deeply committed and professional African and international colleagues in Nairobi and throughout Africa.

You may listen to Fr Padraig’s excellent interview by clicking here. (Remember to forward to 16 minutes 50 seconds if you wish to listen to the interview only).
