My Earth Songs

Music is a universal language that has the power to retain a positive message in the consciousness of the listener. Songs we learn as children remain with us forever. The morals contained in them direct our choices and our lives. ‘My Earth Songs’  were created with this in mind.

My Earth Songs is based on the Sustainable Development Goal’s (SDG’s). It highlights the needs of the planet and the action we, the people of the planet, need to take to correct the imbalances and ensure a clean, green planet for future generations. It aims at enlightening the young through music. There are 27 songs in all, and each SDG has at least one song. These songs are written for children aged 5 to 11 and the lyrics are extremely simple to learn. The tunes are very catchy, and can be memorized through a single listen; fun and positive!

All the songs are available for free to any publisher, organization, educational institution, Government entity, teachers or individuals for any and all non-commercial usage. The creators have already donated the songs to Macmillan publishers in India, to print the English versions of these songs in over 1.4 million textbooks, starting in the 2019 academic year, and over 3.5 million textbooks in the Kannada language for the state of Karnataka in India. UNICEF India has endorsed these songs and ‘My Earth Songs’ was officially launched on World Children’s Day in November 2018.

The goal is have the songs translated into global languages and work with schools around the world to incorporate the songs into the education system.
