Eight reported killed in Jos bombing

With threats from Niger Delta militants to launch a bombing campaign the explosions in Jos on 20 March last has not helped to ease tensions in that area in the run up to the Presidential and other elections due next month. At the same time clashes have taken place in other parts of the country at various election rallies, including one in the south east of the country in Anambra State.

Voters protesting at the corruption by some traditional leaders led to the storming of the Emir of Zaria’s Palace. Read more here.
