Fr Michael Brady SMA (RIP)

The Society of African Missions and the Brady family are mourning the death of Fr Michael Brady SMA which took place in the Bon Secours Hospital, Cork, on Sunday, 17 February 2019. Fr Michael was 76 years of age and had been in failing health for some years.
Michael Brady was born in Castlebar, Co Mayo, on 7 May 1942, the eldest of five sons born to Thomas and Mary (née McHugh). He is deservedly mourned by his brothers Thomas and Bernard, sisters-in-law Charlotte and Ruth, nieces, nephews, grand-nephews, other relatives, friends, SMA Confreres and the people of Benin City Archdiocese, Nigeria, and Rustenburg Diocese, South Africa. Two other brothers – Gerard and Pat – predeceased him.

Funeral arrangements

Removal on Tuesday, 19 February, at 7pm from the Society of African Missions, Blackrock Road, Cork, to St Joseph’s SMA Parish Church, Wilton. Requiem Mass at 12 noon on Wednesday followed by burial in the adjoining cemetery
