Anyone for golf?

SMA Golf ClassicFr John Kilcoyne, from Co Mayo, leads an international team of SMA priests working in one of the poorest parts of Tanzania. The two rural parishes they care for lacks the basic necessities we, in Ireland, take for granted: clean water, electricity, basic health care.

This Thursday, the SMA Wilton parish are hosting a Golf Classic to raise funds for Fr John and his community.  Sponsored by the Wilton Shopping Centre it will take place through the kind support of the Douglas Golf Club. Already – during the month of April – the parishioners donated more than €3,000 towards this fund. Now, through the Golf Classic, they hope to increase it substantially.

The intention is to use the money gathered to help with the digging of wells, an adult education programme, pay for needed medicine for their Basic Health Care programme and also do some repairs on churches and clinics in the area.

Team of three – €200 [which includes the evening meal]
Tee box or Green – €80 [your sign on the course with company details etc as well as on the large signage at the entrance to the Douglas Golf Course]

Why not come along and enjoy a great day of golf and, at the same time, help others in great need.
