Rights of workers and the unemployed – The Pope’s Video

October is the month when the Nobel Committee announce the recipient of this year’s Nobel Peace Prize. This year Pope Francis was a strong contender. We pray that this year’s recipient of the Nobel Prize will work tirelessly:

for the good of all humanity,
for reverence and respect for our Common Home, and
to advance the cause of justice, peace and human rights throughout the world.

For October 2017 Pope Francis has chosen the theme of the rights of workers and the unemployed for his popular Pope’s Video series.

Let us pray that all workers may receive respect and protection of their rights, and that the unemployed may receive the opportunity to contribute to the common good.

Pope Francis – October 2017

We should always remember the dignity and rights of those who work, condemn situations in which that dignity and those rights are violated, and help to ensure authentic progress by humanity and society.

Let us pray that all workers may receive respect and protection of their rights, and that the unemployed may receive the opportunity to contribute to the common good.
